The regional airborne magnetic and radiometric data for South Africa were collected
over a period of more than 20 years. A final map of the entire country was compiled
in 1997, but a complete set of survey specifications was never created. This was due
to the fact that many of the original surveys didn’t have official survey reports.
A process was started in 2009 to search through all the old reports with the aim of
finding references to specific surveys. This was a tedious process, but proved
worthwhile, as all the available specification information was combined and compiled
into this report. |
